Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Reigate Road (B2033) Leatherhead as extends from its junction at the roundabout with (A24) By-pass Road to its junction with (B2033) Mill Way.

Alternative Route: (A24) By-pass Road, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-pass, (A24) London Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, (B2032) Station Road, (A2032) Pebble Hill Road, (B2033) Headley Common Road, (B2033) Tot Hill, (B2033) Leech Lane, and Mill Way, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of J and G Traffic Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 11 June 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
