Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 15 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham.

Alternative Route: (1) (D6858) Miles Lane, (C157) Fairmile Lane, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A307) High Street, (A244) Church Street, (A3009) Esher Green, (A307) High Street, (A244) Claremont Lane, and (A244) Copsem Lane; and

(2) (A244) Copsem Lane, (A244) Claremont Lane, (A307) High Street, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (C157) Fairmile Lane, and (D6858) Miles Lane.

This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of Blade Traffic Management. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 2.30pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via the operatives on site. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
