Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024

On 08 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

a) Send Marsh Road (B368) Send as extends from its junction with (D893) Maysfield Road to its junction with (X368) Green Drive; and

(b) Suspend "The Surrey County Council Send Marsh Road (B368) Send, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023" insofar as it affects the length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice.

Alternative Route: (B368) Send Marsh Road, (B368) Send Marsh Green, (B368) Send Marsh Road, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (A247) Send Barns Lane, and (B368) Send Marsh Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to carry out water utility works for, or on behalf of Chevron TM. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 May 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
