West Road (B2034) and Lesbourne Road (B2034) Reigate
Temporary Prohibition of Waiting Loading and Unloading Order 2024

On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of;

(a) West Road (B2034) Reigate as extends from its junction with (B2034) Lesbourne Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.8 and No.10 West Road;

(b) Lesbourne Road (B2034) Reigate as extends from its junction with (B2034) West Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.40 and No.42 Lesbourne Road.

This Temporary Order is required to facilitate utility and excavation works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 12 April 2024.

This temporary restriction will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Exemptions apply for vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).
