Bridge adult learning courses

Bridge

About this subject

Bridge is a trick-taking game, like Whist, but with more sophisticated scoring.

Whether you are new to Bridge or want to revisit some forgotten skills, our courses will set you on your way. We offer three different types of Bridge courses. On each course, we will help you to learn new skills. We will also deepen your understanding of the game's mechanics.

Play this fascinating and analytical card game in a social group at our centres or online from home.

Our courses run over a period of weeks for a term. We have three terms in the year from September to July plus short courses at the start of summer.

Enrolments open each term in March, July and November. If courses have already started you may still be able to join so please contact us.

If courses are full please sign up to our newsletter to hear when enrolments open again.

Course levels and information

We run weekly beginners, improvers and advanced courses.

  • Beginners will cover playing techniques, defensive skills, scoring, the bidding system and more.
  • Improvers will enhance performance skills.
  • Advanced learners may be thinking of joining a local Bridge club. Our course can help learners extend their technique and playing skills to help them do so.
