Course intent

Ballroom and Latin dancing is excellent for staying supple and improving your strength and balance. Each session you will be stretching and bending all your limbs and joints, strengthening your core & posture whilst remembering the moves and bringing it all together to music. This is an ideal course for people wishing to learn or re-learn from a basic level within a small sociable group.

What will I learn?

You will learn the basic steps of dances, including social foxtrot, quickstep, waltz, rumba, and cha cha cha at a beginner level. You will also learn to recognise the musical rhythm and structure of the dances and how to dance socially with your partner. You will find your own progress much easier if you can attend every lesson.
