Royal History - The Royal Richards

Course intent

In this course, you’ll discover the lives of the Kings and Princes Richard in British Royal History.

What will I learn?

In 1944, Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester and his wife Alice picked the name Richard for their second and younger son, now HRH The Duke of Gloucester. In this new course we look at lives of the Duke’s predecessors, the Richards in British Royal History including two of our most intriguing kings – King Richard I and King Richard III.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is suitable for adults aged 19 and older.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

We recommend bringing paper and pen so you can make notes.

What can I do when I finish the course?

We offer a wide range of courses on aspects of history, as well as other Humanities subjects that may be of interest to further your knowledge.
