Course intent

A perfect way to tone your muscles and build core and upper body strength. This is an easy-to-follow class that will develop your movement skills quickly - you’ll soon moving with grace and elegance and gain an understanding of Persian rhythms

What will I learn?

You will learn low-impact dance moves, steps, and combinations and turns while developing your body awareness and general dance skills. You will learn a choreographed dance routine. We may cover anything from Classical, folkloric, or pop styles. This is a very sociable course.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is designed for everyone. From complete Beginners, those wanting to refresh their skills or more experienced dancers.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Wear comfortable clothing which allows a full range of movement such as leggings and vest or t-shirt. Middle Eastern dance is usually practised in bare feet, but soft-soled shoes, such as ballet pumps are also acceptable

What can I do when I finish the course?

In discussion with your tutor, you can decide the best route for you. You can always re-enrol on the next terms course and keeping dancing

When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
