Mindfulness: Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques

Course intent

- Do you struggle with stress and anxiety? - Are you fed up with negative thinking? - Have you heard about Mindfulness but don’t know where to start? - Do you want to learn relaxation techniques to improve your everyday life?

Then using Mindfulness techniques in your everyday life could be helpful for you.

What will I learn?

Over 6 sessions you will practice mindfulness techniques and explore how they could reduce your stresses, keeping you in control.

The course will focus on:

How stress and anxiety affect you and those around you. - Recognise your triggers and how to switch off negative thinking. - Become aware of your inner dialogue and understand we have a choice. - Learn Stress Management And Relaxation Techniques for a more content way of living

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

The course is open to everyone. Those completely new to Mindfulness and those refreshing techniques.

This is an excellent progressive step from the Mindfulness: Getting Started course

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Please bring a notepad or mobile device to take notes. Any lesson slides and additional written information on the techniques discussed will be provided.

What can I do when I finish the course?

If you would like to continue your learning your tutor will be able to signpost and advise.

When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
