Course intent
Learn the basics of how to draw. Discover how to use drawing materials and explore how to draw what you can see.
What will I learn?
You will learn: · How to use pencil- the different grades and how to use them · How to use a drawing pen · Line drawing · Shading and tone · How to start a drawing · How to use measuring · Simple perspective · How to design a successful composition

Complete beginners.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
For the first lesson bring: · Pencils H, HB, 2B · Cartridge paper, preferably a sketchbook · Rubber · Pencil sharpener
What can I do when I finish the course?
Progress onto courses that specialise in other media or drawing skills.

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
