Tai Chi - Moving Mindfulness & Relaxation

High volumes of enquiries - July 2024

Due to high numbers of enquiries, there are currently longer waiting times on the phones and a delay to responses for voicemails, emails and enquiries.

We apologise for any inconvenience and are working as quickly as possible to get to you.

Course intent

The intent of the course is to introduce you to the principles and practice of Yang style Tai Chi, using a range of gentle but powerful exercises.

Tai Chi is an ancient oriental art that over time helps revitalise mind, body and spirit through the learning and practice of “the form” (set sequences of movements performed slowly with precision).

What will I learn?

You will learn breathing and relaxation techniques that you can then include in the practice of a few Chi Kung health exercises as well as elements of the Yang 24 form.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is designed for those with no prior experience of Tai Chi, or those wanting to refresh skills.

What do I need to bring to the first class?

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing, that will allow you to raise your arms above your head. You can wear flexible flat shoes, socks, or be barefoot. A comfortable yoga mat and a blanket would be ideal but not essential. Mats are available to borrow.

What can I do when I finish the course?

Following this session, you may wish to continue to explore Tai Chi and Chi Kung with other such courses run on a weekly basis, at Beginner and Improver level.
