Course intent

Yoga helps build your wellbeing holistically, by using slow movements and poses, with deep breathing exercises, offering physical and mental health benefits.

What will I learn?

You will develop your yoga postures (asanas) in standing, seated and lying positions. You will also develop your breathing exercises (pranayama) and relaxation techniques.

Yoga is characterised by precision, correct postural alignment and body awareness. It is methodical, structured, and progressive, emphasising detailed correctness and safety. You will be using equipment, such as blocks, or bolsters, to assist you to achieve the posture correctly, at your own pace and to suit your body.
