Watercolour Painting & Mixed Media - All Abilities

Course intent

You will focus on developing a bold painting through direct observation using expressive techniques with mixed media including soft pastels, charcoal, ink and watercolour.

You will · Learn skills in tone, colour and composition through practice & demonstration · Research and take inspiration from other artists work · Gain confidence in using drawing & painting materials · Have access to one to one support · Discover and develop your abilities through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is those with some experience who need a refresher and wish to develop further, and to those who have been working for a while.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You need to bring: · Watercolour, pastel, inks you may already have purchased · A pad of A3 cartridge paper · Soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B) · Soft rubber and a graphite stick · Notebook and pen

All materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction.

In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto further art courses.
