Course intent

Chi Gung (Qigong) teaches people how they can help themselves to heal, gain personal power, attain physical relaxation, and develop awareness and peace within themselves using body movement and the mind.

Qigong involves work with the finer energies of the body. This is achieved by moving, standing, stretching, and softening, the regulation of breath and other methods to enhance vitality.

What will I learn?

You will learn a variety of exercises to develop balance, body awareness and mental focus to prepare you for learning and using personal chi. Exercises are repeated frequently to consolidate learning and improve your practical abilities.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is suitable for everyone. Your tutor will adapt to your needs and level.

What do I need to bring to the first class?

Please ensure you: · Complete and return the health check. Your enrolment information will contain a link · Wear comfortable, loose clothing, allowing you to raise your arms above your head. Tai Chi is practiced in bare feet, socks, or soft soled shoes.

What can I do when I finish the course?

At the end of the term, you may wish to re-enrol on the next Tai Chi course.
