Family Learning - How to Talk About My Neurodivergent Child Workshop for ESOL Parents

High volumes of enquiries - July 2024

Due to high numbers of enquiries, there are currently longer waiting times on the phones and a delay to responses for voicemails, emails and enquiries.

We apologise for any inconvenience and are working as quickly as possible to get to you.

Course intent

You will develop your skills and knowledge in the special language used when talking about neurodivergent children and know where to find out more information. This will be positive for your family.

What will I learn?

On this FREE online 2-hour workshop you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers to discuss the language you can use when you want to talk about your child who is neurodivergent. This workshop will introduce you to the English that you’ll need to be able to make the most of our parenting courses/workshops, especially the one called First steps to understanding my child (ADHD, Autism and Neurodivergent).

You will: · become familiar with special terms and acronyms used in SEN (special educational needs) policies and procedures · learn vocabulary to be able to describe your child’s behaviour · find out where to go for more information
