Family Learning - Your Childs Primary Education Workshop for ESOL Parents

Course intent

You will develop your knowledge of primary education in England and know where to find out more information. This will be positive for your family.

What will I learn?

On this FREE online 2-hour workshop you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers to understand primary education in England. You will cover a range of topics that will include:

  • discussing the school system in England, including Key Stages, curriculum subjects and assessment
  • find out about a typical school day and parents’ evenings
  • sharing useful websites and resources

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

If you are new to the UK or went to school in another country and are a parent/carer of a child aged 4-11, this workshop will help you understand the English school system and what happens in primary education.

If you have booked on the 5-week Understanding What Is Taught in Primary School for ESOL Parents course, you do not need to attend this separate workshop

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
