Course intent
You will develop your skills and knowledge in English grammar and gain practical ideas to try with your child. This will be positive for your family wellbeing.
What will I learn?
On this FREE online 2-week course (2-hour sessions), you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers to understand school education and how English is taught in school. If your child is aged 5-7 years and you speak English as an additional language (EAL) this course is for you. You will:
- get an overview of the spelling and punctuation part of the KS1 English curriculum
- learn ways to practise spelling with your child
- learn about punctuation marks and when to use them
- improve your own English skills
- develop digital skills by using Zoom and Google Classroom
