Manual Bookkeeping - Stage 2 [HPT]

Course intent

This is a follow-on course from Manual Bookkeeping - Stage 1 and provides good foundation to those who wish to go on to study accounting qualifications. Bookkeeping is the record-keeping process of financial accounting, and involves preparing source documents for all transactions, operations, and other events of a business.

What will I learn?

You will: · Understand Double Entry to Trial Balance and the preparation of Financial Statements. · Look at Capital v Revenue Expenditure · Be introduced to the yearend adjustments to Financial Statements for inventory, accruals and prepayments, depreciation and bad debts. · Use journals and the correction of errors. · Prepare control accounts. · Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for · Anyone who has attended Stage 1 and you must have basic literacy and numeracy skills · Anyone interested in developing their bookkeeping knowledge for personal or career development

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Please bring pens, pencils, eraser, ruler notepad/paper and calculator (basic).
