Course intent

This course will focus on the influence Digital Marketing has in our everyday lives, as consumers and online users. The course structure will take you through what makes up Digital Marketing and how to engage in its activities in a productive and secure way. For working in the Digital sector, this course gives you a good introduction to the initial skills and knowledge needed for a Digital Marketing role.

What will I learn?

Digital Marketing (DM) encompasses all of our social and marketing activities that take place online and on this course you will: · Explain the concept of Digital Marketing for businesses and consumers · Separate the fundamental elements that make up Digital Marketing · Understand the impact of your digital presence · Observe and discuss Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

This course is for · Absolute beginners with no prior marketing experience · Anyone interested in learning Digital Marketing for personal or career development · Anyone with a willingness to learn and study

This course will be delivered through a live online session using Zoom

To fully participate in this course, you will need:

An email address · A reliable internet connection · A computer/laptop /tablet with a fully updated browser · A working microphone and webcam.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

To fully participate in this course, you will need: · Access to a computer/laptop/tablet with a reliable internet connection · A working microphone, and webcam

If you struggle to read printed text on a screen, you may find it beneficial to have access to a printer to make your own hard copies of resources.
