This is an Intermediate Level conversation course for learners from Hong Kong who have self-assessed at this level by answering the questions on the SAL website.
What will we cover?
On this course you will widen your knowledge of vocabulary and grammar, so that you can communicate on a variety of topics. You will improve your listening skills, including listening and responding to English spoken at normal speed in a range of everyday situations.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This is an Intermediate Level conversation course for learners from Hong Kong who have self-assessed at this level by answering the questions on the SAL website. It will be delivered through live online sessions using Zoom, enabling you to interact with the tutor and other learners, to maintain your speaking and listening skills.
To fully participate in this course, you will need:
- An email address
- A reliable internet connection
- A computer / laptop / tablet with a fully updated browser, microphone and webcam
Once enrolled on this course you will receive detailed instructions for taking part online.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
For the Zoom lesson: you will need access to a computer/laptop/tablet with a reliable internet connection, working microphone, and webcam. If you struggle to read printed text on a screen, you may find it beneficial to have access to a printer to make your own hard copies of resources. Please bring a notepad and pen.
What can I do when I finish the course?
You are welcome to take part in this course for as long as you wish to maintain and refine your language skills at an intermediate level, or you can progress to the advanced conversation course.
