Nutrition - Supporting Neurodiverse Children with Nutrition

Course intent

As parents, we may feel we have little control over our child’s neurodiverse behaviours. However, research shows that nutrition can play a significant role in increasing or reducing challenging behaviours and can even affect the effectiveness of medications, such as Ritalin.

What will I learn?

.In this workshop, discover how nutrition can significantly impact your child’s symptoms, including:

  • Attention challenges
  • Irritability
  • Aggression
  • Impulsivity
  • Hyperactivity
  • Social behaviours

We’ll explore specific neurodiverse conditions, including ADHD, Autism (ASD), and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and discuss which foods and dietary approaches may help reduce challenging behaviours and support positive outcomes.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

.Any parents with children on the spectrum whether diagnosed or not. Workshop may also be helpful for those whose work brings them into contact with neurodiverse children.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

.You may wish to bring a pen and notepad but this is optional.

What can I do when I finish the course?

.We offer a range of nutrition workshops and courses throughout the term, look at our website for all the details. It would be great to see you again.
