Course intent
Gain confidence in drawing, learn techniques and develop your ideas and imagination through a mixture of practice, discussion and tutor demonstration.
What will I learn?
You will learn:
- A range of drawing methods and techniques using a variety of resources for inspiration
- How to develop your drawing in a free and experimental way
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
Beginners, but learners with a little experience of drawing and painting are also welcome.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
You need to bring:
- A pen, a ruler
- A4 cartridge paper (tutor recommends Daler Rowney or similar)
- Pencils: 2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B
- A sharpener or craft knife
- A plastic or putty rubber
What can I do when I finish the course?
In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto further Art courses with SAL.
