Cookery Workshop - Beginner Breadmaking

Course intent

Making homemade bread is a great everyday skill and a party piece that impresses!

What will I learn?

This 4.5-hour workshop intends to teach you the basic recipes and techniques for making delicious homemade bread and give you the confidence to experiment further with breadmaking in your own kitchen. During the workshop you will prepare.

• Rosemary and olive Italian Bread
• Granary baps
• Traditional Irish soda bread

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  Suitable for those who are new to breadmaking or would like to refresh their skills.

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  Please ensure you have completed the following before the first session:

• It is essential all cookery learners click this link https://customer.surreycc.gov.uk/sal-cookery-checklist - complete and submit.
• You will be emailed a workbook. It will outline the ingredients & resources you need to bring and those that will be supplied.
• Inform adultlearning@surreycc.gov.uk if you need any adaptations to the recipes.
• A container to take your dish(es) home

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
