Course intent
If you’re interested in authentic Indian cuisine using fresh ingredients, this workshop could be for you. Your tutor, Pratap Gosai will lead you through the techniques and traditions used in Indian cooking. You will gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to recreate the foundations of most Indian dishes.
What will I learn?
During this workshop you will learn how to prepare and cook either the vegetarian or the meat menu, using fresh ingredients and traditional spices.
- Vegetarian Menu – Malai Paneer, Bhindi Bhaji & Lemon Rice
- Meat Menu – Butter Chicken, Bhindi Bhaji & Lemon Rice
Pratap is passionate about Indian cookery and looks forward to sharing his heritage, experiences, and recipes with you.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is designed for a range of cookery abilities, but not absolute beginners.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
Please ensure you have completed the following before the first session:
- It is essential all cookery learners click this link https://customer.surreycc.gov.uk/sal-cookery-checklist - complete and submit.
- You will be emailed a workbook. It will outline the ingredients & resources you need to bring and those that will be supplied.
- Inform adultlearning@surreycc.gov.uk if you need any adaptations to the recipes.
- A container to take your dish(es) home
