Chinese Culture - Chinese Legends and Folklore

Course intent

Do you have a fascination with China? Would you like to know more about old Chinese myths, legends and folk stories? Then this one-off lecture could be just what you are looking for!

What will I learn?

You will explore the most important mythological creatures, legends, Chinese customs, and traditions originating from ancient stories. Chinese mythology is full of epic tales of adventure along with deep reflections on life.

Many customs in China can be traced back to these ancient tales, and echoes of these legends can be heard in daily conversations.
