Windows PC Digital Skills & Confidence - Stage 3

Course intent

You will learn to become confident and more independent at using a computer and the Windows Operating System, increasing your digital skills and awareness of online safety.

All content is aligned with the national standards for essential digital skills.

• Communicating
• Transacting
• Being safe and responsible online

How to Apply

There are three ways to apply on this course. You can:

• complete the form on our website;
• call us on 0300 200 1044, 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday; or
• visit one of our centres.

We'll evaluate your skills and provide a course offer, which you must accept to secure your place.

What will I learn?

.You will

• Use browsers and search engines efficiently and personalise internet settings
• Use software to create documents and presentations
• Use an internet email account and organisation tools such as Calendars and contacts
• Organise, store and present photographs and online images
• Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

.This course is designed for

• Anyone who wants to update their computer skills
• Participants who want to improve their computer and internet knowledge and confidence.
• Anyone who can use email confidently and safely

• Can you manipulate and enhance an image within a document?
• Can you confidently use Cut, Copy and Paste?
• Can you create a Word-processing document with headers and footers?
