Course intent
This advanced-level course is designed to increase your understanding and expertise in Microsoft Excel. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and skills to effectively analyse, manipulate, and present data using Excel's advanced features.
If you use/have used a different spreadsheet programme, the skills learned here are easily transferrable.
What will I learn?
You will:
Create Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts and use the Pivot Table Slicer.
Naming Ranges.
Develop advanced skills with Formulas and Functions
Use =Lookup (using =VLookup and =HLookup).
Look at other useful Advanced Functions (including =Today and =Concatenate).
Import Files
Freeze Panes, Hiding/Un-hiding Rows/Columns and Workbooks
Link Data within and between Worksheets and Workbooks.
Protect and Unprotect Cells and Worksheets
Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

This course is for
Anyone with good computer, mouse and keyboard skills
individuals who have intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and are looking to improve their skills to an advanced level.

To fully participate in this course, you will need:

A reliable internet connection
A computer/laptop /tablet with a fully updated browser
A working microphone and webcam.

If you struggle to read printed text on a screen, you may find it beneficial to have access to a printer to make your own hard copies of resources.
