Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is suitable for all abilities as the complexity of the design will vary according to your previous knowledge of the subject. This course is not suitable for pregnant women or lactating mothers due to potential conflicting chemical exposure which is best avoided. People on blood thinning medication should inform the tutor at the start of the course.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

This is to learn and practice cutting on (on sale in the studio if needed) ·Safety or over spectacles goggles (also on sale in the studio if needed) ·A piece of plywood or solid surface such as a shelf, a tray or very heavy cardboard (size around 60cmx30cm) to support your piece when taking it home at the end of the workshop as the cement will still be wet for a few days. Wear old clothes/apron and sensible, closed toe shoes (absolutely no open toe sandals)Glass is not included but can be purchased from the studio (including greenhouse glass). Expect to pay from £25 to £30 for glass depending on project size and choice of glass colours. These prices are subject to change depending on current market prices. What can I do when I finish the course?

We offer Stained glass courses during the week, including evenings where you can learn stained glass in greater depth and work on longer projects. We also offer shorter glass fusing courses throughout the term, where you can make beautiful, fused glass pieces. These could be standalone ornaments or could be included in stained glass projects as your skills develop.
