Apple Mac Digital Skills & Confidence - Stage 3

Course intent

This course will review and build on skills learned in Stage 2 aiming to develop essential skills to effectively use an Apple Mac computer. It provides participants with a solid foundation in Mac navigation, customisation, and program management. By the end of the course, you will have the knowledge and proficiency to confidently perform tasks such as sending emails, managing files, browsing the web, organising photos, and creating and formatting documents.

All content is aligned with the national standards for essential digital skills.

We'll evaluate your skills and provide a course offer, which you must accept to secure your place.

What will I learn?

You will

• Review the Mac Operating System
• Practise managing files, folders, and then identify different storage options to backup data.
• Manage, capture and enhance photos and other digital media
• Understand how to safely use social media apps
• Use Email with attachments and edit contacts
• Efficiently browse the internet to search for information and then analyse results
• Create and format documents using text, photographs and online images
• Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  This course is designed for

• Wants to update their Apple Mac skills
• Wants to improve their internet knowledge, Safety and confidence.
• Use email confidently and safely
• Use different types of software to create documents and presentations

• Can you confidently use cut, copy and paste?
• Can you manipulate and enhance an image within a document?
• Can you create a Word-processing document with headers and footers?
