Course intent
This course will review and build on skills learned in Stage 3, developing essential digital skills to effectively use an Apple Mac computer. It examines further use of the iWork Office Suite, looking in greater detail at Pages, Numbers and Keynote. You will create word processed documents such as letters and reports, spreadsheets to record financial data and presentations such as slides and posters. It will prepare you for the level 1 Essential Digital Skills qualification (EDSQ).

- Review the Mac Operating System
- Practise managing files, folders, and different storage options to backup data.
- Manage, capture and enhance photos and other digital media
- Use word-processing software to create documents with advanced formatting
- Use presentation software to create slide shows or poster
- Use spreadsheets to create charts – pie charts, bar charts
- Use spreadsheets to create lists to sort and filter data
- Look at different Social Media platforms and their use
- Use Email with attachments and edit contacts
- Review information searched for on the internet and compare results
- Create and format documents using text, photographs and online images
- Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values
