Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations - Introduction [HPT]

Course intent

You will use the popular PowerPoint software, part of the Microsoft Office suite, to create basic presentations, incorporating simple formatting, design layouts, image enhancement and animations. PowerPoint is a powerful presentation tool used for presenting for an interview, demonstrating ideas to clients, explaining a concept or procedure to employees, teaching a class, laying out documents or creating a photo album.

If you use/have used a different presentation programme, the skills learned here are easily transferrable.

What will I learn?

You will:

• Understand what makes a powerful presentation.
• Be familiar with the features and functionality in PowerPoint.
• Create a presentation using different slide layouts.
• Find images and videos online and understand copyright.
• Insert images and videos into different slides.
• Use transitions and animations effectively.
• Use the Slide Show.
• Be familiar with how to use templates.
• Apply and edit a template.
• Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values.

• Anyone with good computer, mouse and keyboard skills

This course will be delivered through live online sessions using Zoom
