Course intent
You will use the popular PowerPoint software, part of the Microsoft Office suite, to create basic presentations, incorporating simple formatting, design layouts, image enhancement and animations. PowerPoint is a powerful presentation tool used for presenting for an interview, demonstrating ideas to clients, explaining a concept or procedure to employees, teaching a class, laying out documents or creating a photo album.
If you use/have used a different presentation programme, the skills learned here are easily transferrable.
What will I learn?
You will:
- Understand what makes a powerful presentation.
- Be familiar with the features and functionality in PowerPoint.
- Create a presentation using different slide layouts.
- Find images and videos online and understand copyright.
- Insert images and videos into different slides.
- Use transitions and animations effectively.
- Use the Slide Show.
- Be familiar with how to use templates.
- Apply and edit a template.
- Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values.
