Course intent
Create beautiful, beaded pieces using a variety of wire bending techniques to enable you to make a simple pair of earrings, chain bracelet, brooch or hair clip. This is a great introduction to the World of jewellery making.
What will I learn?
You will learn:
- How to use tools involved in the creation in wire jewellery
- About the different materials that can be used to create unique pieces
- How to create unique jewellery from repurposed items like, buttons, vintage and broken jewellery
- How to source components and supplies
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This course is aimed at beginners with little or no knowledge of jewellery making.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
You need to bring:
- A notebook and pen
- A piece of cloth to work on
Your tutor will advise on any extra items required for specific projects.
What can I do when I finish the course?
In discussion with your tutor you may like to progress onto our Jewellery and Silverwork course or enhance your learning on one of our Summer Jewellery workshops.
