Designed as a follow on to the Stage 1 course this will enable you to unlock the full potential of your

iPad, gain comprehensive understanding of its features, and maximise your iPad experience. Designed

for beginners and improvers, this course equips you with the necessary skills to navigate, personalise,

and use iPad apps and functions effectively. Take your iPad experience to the next level by enrolling on

There are three ways to apply on this course. You can: · complete the form on our website; · call us on 0300 200 1044, 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday; or · visit one of our centres.

We'll evaluate your skills and provide a course offer, which you must accept to secure your place

What will I learn?

You will · Explore the Calendar to keep you organised. · Create Reminders · Use the built in Measure, Magnify and Translate apps. · Master iTunes Store and iTunes Vouchers · Explore iBooks and Podcasts and understanding how to listen to Music. · Record Voice Memos · Create Notes to store and scan information · Copy and paste information between apps · Customise apps using Settings, increase storage and sync apps across Apple devices. · Advanced Features such as Multitasking to split the screen. · Set up and Manage Notifications · Communicate with other iOS users using iMessage · Customise the Control Centre and the Today View and Widgets · Explore features of Safari such as adding bookmarks and sharing links · Tips, Tricks, and Shortcuts · Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is designed for

• individuals who own or plan to own an iPad and want to gain a comprehensive understanding of its features, Apps, and functions. some prior knowledge of iPads is required.

• Can you confidently create and name a folder, save a file, and then find it again?
• Do you know how to copy and paste between apps?
• Do you know the difference between a browser and a search engine?

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You need to bring:

• Your own iPad
• iPad charger.

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  You may like to progress onto another Surrey Adult learning course, such as:

• Apple Mac Digital Skills & Confidence
• Essential Digital Skills qualification (EDSQ)

Or your tutor can direct you to ‘Next steps’ section, on our website, if you wish to do something else.

If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
