Family Learning - Easter Treats for the Family Workshop

Course intent

You and your family will develop practical skills and knowledge in baking. This will impact positively on your family wellbeing.

What will I learn?

This is a FREE online workshop (1.5-hour Session) is an ideal cookery session involving your child to create delicious Easter treats. You will be able to develop your knowledge and confidence. Using various methods on how to measure ingredients. Join in with your child for a fun filled afternoon.

• Learn how to decorate using different toppings.
• Create together with your child.
• Learn new baking skills and how to measure ingredients.

A list of ingredients will be emailed to you. YOU DO NOT REQUIRE A MIXER OR BLENDER if you do not have one. Tutor will give dietary alternatives during sessions.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This course is for parents, carers, grandparents, and children aged 5 + who want to bake together This is delivered online via Zoom.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

You will need to:

• Have your camera on
• Provide a mobile phone number and email address when you enrol so that we can contact you about your course.
• Please attend all sessions
• A reliable internet connection
• A computer/laptop/tablet or phone with a fully updated browser (preferably Google Chrome), microphone and camera
• A pen and paper
• Check your email for detailed joining instructions two days before course starts.
• Fill out the `Tell us what you think` form

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  At the end of this course, we will give you details of what you can move on to next, for example volunteering, further courses with Surrey Adult Learning, a college or employment.

  We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
