French Brush-Up - Summer Term

Course intent

Did you learn French at school and want to pick it back up again? Are you feeling a little rusty on the grammar and vocabulary? Then our Brush Up courses are perfect to help you revise beginner level language and re-build your confidence before continuing your language-learning journey.

What will I learn?

Brush Up courses will refresh your basic language knowledge to help you handle everyday situations.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

Brush Up language courses are for those who have some experience with the language in the past and want to restart after a break in learning. For example, you may have completed a GCSE in the language several years ago.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

We recommend bringing paper and pen to every lesson so you can make notes.

What can I do when I finish the course?

After completing the Brush Up course, your tutor can advise you of the most suitable course for you to continue your learning journey with us. For most learners, this will be a Beyond Beginners course which correspond to A2 Elementary Level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for Languages.

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
