Course intent
You will develop your skills and knowledge in the special language used when talking about relationships and know where to find out more information. This will be positive for your family
What will I learn?
On this FREE online 2-hour workshop you will work with the tutor and other parents and carers to discuss the language you and your child need to be familiar with to understand Relationship Education in primary schools. This workshop will introduce you to the English that you may hear at a presentation on Relationship and Health Education at your child’s school.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
If you are new to the UK or went to school in another country and are a parent/carer of a child aged 4-11, this workshop will help you develop your English language skills to understand what language teachers use in schools to talk about relationships and the human body with children. This will be delivered online via Zoom
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
• Have my camera on
What can I do when I finish the course?
You could attend one of our 5-week courses for parents who speak English as an additional language.
