Personal Identity Workshop

Course intent

This two-part workshop will examine how the individual sense of personal identity may be constructed from social and experiential influences. It will be taught by Alexander Hogan

What will I learn?

In this topic, we'll explore how your personal sense of identity is shaped by social groups, your development as you grow, and your connection to the past. From peer groups to cultural heritage, and how early experiences influence your adult relationships. We’ll dive into how these factors interact to form who you are.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is suitable for everyone. No prior knowledge is required, just an interest in the topic.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

We recommend bringing a pen and paper so you can make notes. The tutor will provide a copy of the presentation notes.

What can I do when I finish the course?

You can enrol to other psychology courses. Your tutor will advise you on the options available to you. This workshop offers learners a fresh insight into understanding human thought and behaviour, which can be advantageous in a variety of occupations and personal development.
