Our series of one-off lectures will give you the opportunity to delve into the details of Royal History with our expert tutor. In this lecture, we will discuss the life of John, Duke of Bedford.

What will I learn?

John, Duke of Bedford (1389 –1435) was a medieval prince, general, and statesman who commanded England's armies in France during a critical phase of the Hundred Years' War. John, Duke of Bedford was the fourth son of King Henry IV and younger brother to Henry V, and he acted as regent of France for his nephew Henry VI.
