Drawing & Painting Intensive Workshop - Beginners [SSK]

Course intent

Immerse yourself into the world of drawing & painting during this three-day intensive workshop. The course will help you to discover a range of basic methods of drawing & painting using a sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation

What will I learn?

"You will learn:

• to distinguish the use of tone, colour, composition and perspective
• how to use both drawing and painting materials with confidence
• correct cleaning of equipment
• how to develop personal expression, through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques"

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  This course is designed for beginners with the tutor teaching techniques and skills step-by-step. This means that all learners will be able to watch each part of the process before having a go themselves

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  "You need to bring:

• an A3 pad of 300gsm cartridge paper
• soft grade pencils (4B or 6B)
• soft rubber
• graphite stick"

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto other fine art courses with SAL, or other providers
