Drawing - Detailed pencil sketching from natural forms workshop [SSK]

Course intent

Drawing can be daunting, but in this workshop, your tutor will teach you her top tips and tricks to help you improve your drawings quickly. You’ll follow along as your tutor draws in real-time, using a Visualiser, guiding you through every step of the process.

What will I learn?

You will be guided through a series of black and white drawings, learning how to create accurate proportions, shadows, and textures. You will learn how to:

  • Break down a complex form into simple shapes.
  • Check the proportions of your drawings.
  • Add a full range of tones to create realistic light and shadow.
  • Recreate textures accurately.
  • Use tools to help blend and define your work.
  • Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is aimed at beginners and those wishing to refresh their drawing skills. Students will be guided through each drawing step-by-step, so it is suitable for those who want to become more confident and see an improvement quickly.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
