Photography - Be More Creative All Abilities Workshop [SSK]

Course intent

A workshop where you will gain confidence, knowledge and understanding of using your camera more creatively. We will look at your camera specifically as well as the effective techniques you can adopt to make your photography more creative.

What will I learn?

• A general knowledge of photographic skills

  • Identifying and using the camera's options and capture modes
  • Exploration of composition
  • Lighting
  • Practical exercises using your camera's settings to achieve different effects

There may be opportunities to take photos outside, weather and venue permitting.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This workshop is for all abilities. Learners who have some knowledge of photography. No skill with any type of camera is required, just a willingness to learn and a camera.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

Your camera (fully charged!) and any associated instruction manual (if you have it!)

What can I do when I finish the course?

In discussion with your tutor, you may like to progress onto our other Arts & Crafts courses where photography would be an advantage. We also offer longer 10-week courses in Photography for beginners in Woking on a Monday evening and a Tuesday morning, and Photography for Improvers at Camberley and Farnham centres.
