Jewellery & Silverwork - Make a Circle Pendant- All Abilities Workshop [SSK]

Course intent

Make a beautiful silver pendant around a circle theme for yourself or as a personal gift for someone else.

What will I learn?

After experimenting with different techniques in sheet copper and wire, making rounds and circles, you will position these pieces to create a unique pendant design. You will then progress to silver where you will replicate the process and learn the correct way to assemble into your finished silver pendant. Techniques you will learn will include:

• Annealing
• Texturing
• Disc Cutting
• Doming
• Wire Work
• Soldering
• Design
• Tumble Polishing

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  Beginners and those with some experience. Each step will be explained, and the tutor will show you stage by stage how to achieve your piece of jewellery.

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  You need to bring:

• a plain notebook and pencil
• Wear closed toe shoes (no flip flops)
• Remove long scarves.
• Long hair to be tied back.
• Bring an apron or wear old clothes.

  What can I do when I finish the course?

  In discussion with your tutor you may like to progress onto our Jewellery and Silverwork course or enhance your learning on one of our Saturday Jewellery workshops.
