Digital Photography - Take Great Portraits Using Your Smartphone – Beginners Workshop

Course intent

Take beautiful, quality portraits with the camera you always have in your pocket: your phone camera.

What will I learn?

• To capture beautiful portraits on your smart phone or tablet.

• Tips and techniques for using light.
• Subject positioning and backgrounds. Use of props
• Some post-production in your camera app, with advice on other apps available.
• Have lots of creative fun.

  Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

  Anyone interested in learning techniques for using your smartphone camera. No photography knowledge necessary.

  What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?

  Your mobile phone/ tablet – fully charged.

A sketchbook or notepad and pencil for taking notes

A packed lunch and drinks.

What can I do when I finish the course?

You may like to continue your photography journey in the Autumn term with the beginners’ course on Wednesday mornings, and other workshops coming up.

We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities.
