Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This workshop is designed as a ‘how to’ for beginners to clothing-making, so no experience is necessary, although a little may be helpful. Some familiarity with a sewing machine would be useful.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
A ‘needs list’ will be sent out before the start of the workshop which will include what you need to bring and where to source fabrics.
What can I do when I finish the course?
This workshop can be studied in isolation or considered as an introduction into a much larger subject area that makes a creative hobby. If you attended the Sewing – Making Clothes – Basic Know-How in the Autumn Term, you will learn new skills during this session. Further courses will be offered throughout the year by Surrey Adult Learning to develop the newly acquired skills and this subject area. Occasional Saturday classes and other Needlecraft classes will also be offered. For further details, please visit our website – www.surreycc.gov.uk/adultlearnng
