Course intent
Do you want to discover fascinating aspects of different cultures? This lecture is about the famous Greek myths through Homer’s epic poems of Odyssey and Iliad. This is one in a series of lectures about Greek culture.
What will I learn?
This course is an introduction to the two ancient epic poems attributed to Homer. We’ll examine definitions of heroism and the Trojan War and follow Odysseus’ journey.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This lecture is suitable for everyone. No prior knowledge is required, just an interest in the topic.
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
You are welcome to bring a pen and notebook for taking notes, but most important of all is your curiosity and enthusiasm!
