Course intent
Treat yourself to a fun and rewarding day creating curved pieced patchwork, whilst working at your own
What will I learn?
The workshop will cover:
- cutting out
- exploring curves
- template making
- curved piecing by machine
- constructing patchwork at differing levels of complexity
- project finishing
The Tutor will be available to discuss your individual ideas and projects.
Please note that larger items may not be completed at the workshop due to time constraints or design complexity, but you will receive information for finishing at home.
Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?
This practical workshop is for people who enjoy sewing. You will need some familiarity with fabric,
What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
A ‘needs list’ will be sent out before the start of the workshop which will include what you need to bring
What can I do when I finish the course?
This workshop can be studied in isolation or considered as an introduction into a much larger subject area that makes a creative hobby. Further Patchwork and Quilting courses will be offered throughout the year by Surrey Adult Learning to develop the newly acquired skills and this subject area.
