Children's Nutrition - Supporting Neurodiverse Children (Online)

Course intent

Research shows that nutrition can play a significant role in increasing or reducing challenging behaviours and can even affect the effectiveness of medications, such as Ritalin.

What will I learn?

In this workshop, discover how nutrition can significantly impact your child’s symptoms, including:In this workshop, discover how nutrition can significantly impact your child’s symptoms, including:

  • Attention challenges
  • Irritability
  • Aggression
  • Impulsivity
  • Hyperactivity
  • Social behaviours

We’ll explore specific neurodiverse conditions, including ADHD, Autism (ASD), and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), and discuss which foods and dietary approaches may help reduce challenging behaviours and support positive outcomes.

Who is this course for? Is there anything I need to know before joining?

This session will be helpful to parents, carers and professionals.

To participate, you will need:

  • An email address
  • A reliable internet connection
  • A computer/laptop /tablet with a fully updated browser
  • microphone and webcam.

Once enrolled, you will receive instructions for joining Zoom.

What do I need to bring to the first class? Will there be any extra costs?
