Family Learning - Lego Maths Shed at Camberley Library

Course intent

You will develop your skills and knowledge of maths, including the language and terms used in school. This course is designed to be fun and interactive, incorporating various aspects of learning math as a family.

What will I learn?

On this FREE in-person 2-hour workshop for parents and their primary-aged children at Camberley Library, you’ll improve your own skills and understand the latest methods used in schools to boost your child’s confidence with maths. 1. Help Your Child to be Awesome at Maths

If you are a parent/carer of a child aged 4-8, this workshop will help you understand the maths and language your child will use at school.

Camberley Library is situated between Surrey Heath Borough Council Offices and Camberley Theatre.

There are short stay and disabled pay and display parking spaces adjacent to the library. There are also multi storey car parks behind the theatre and next to the shopping centre. These operate a pay-on-foot system.

    What can I do when I finish the course?

    At the end of this workshop, we will give you details of what you can move on to next, for example volunteering, further courses with Surrey Adult Learning, such as ESOL or Maths, or a join a college or get a job.

    We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. When you enrol, please let us know if you would like to discuss your extra support needs with a member of the Supported Learning Team who will then contact you as soon as possible. If you are enrolling within 10 days of the course start date, we may not be able to contact you before your first class.
