How the appeal panel makes its decision

Before going through the appeals process and completing your appeals form, it is important to be aware of how the appeal panel reaches its decision on a school appeal.

In general, there are two different types of appeal hearings depending on the age of your child, Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2+. Although, occasionally this will differ for Key stage 1 appeals, but this would be explained to you at the time.
