Starting secondary school in September 2025
If your child will reach age 11 between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025, they will be due to start secondary school in September 2025.
You can apply from 1 September 2024. The closing date for applications was 31 October 2024.

There is a different application process if you are:
- applying for a school place for a child with an Education Health and Care Plan.
- applying for an in-year admission - your child has already started school but needs to change schools or you have moved to the area outside the normal admission round.
- if you are a late applicant - applying or changing your preference after the closing date.
